Government Grants US is a federal initiative which allows federal agencies to award financial assistance to a recipient allowing him to carry out a public purpose of support as stipulated by the laws of the United States of America. Twenty Six agencies are listed to provide federal grants to recipients and they provide close to one thousand grant programs.

Government Grant US has various categories under which the grant programs are offered. How to apply for government grants?

Application for a government grant is a step-by-step process which is detailed below;

· Step 1- Downloading of the Grant Application Package – The recipient must download the grant application form and complete it offline. In order to complete the form, the candidate would need Funding Opportunity Number (FON) which can be obtained online. Simply do an online search for Funding Opportunity Number or ‘FON'. After completing the form, the candidate would need to route the form through the organization overseeing the grant program that is being applied to for review. Once the organization reviews the form, it can be submitted.

· Step 3 – Submission and Tracking – After you perform Step 1 and 2 completely, you would need to submit the form online. Once you submit the form for a required grant, the grant authorities will screen your case and update you accordingly.
